Jeremy Brasseur

Executive Chairman

"I apply the same principles in my swimming as I do to the business, which is having a cohesive supportive team to train and compete with, while understanding that less can be more. Know what you do well and do it better than your competitors."

Jeremy Brasseur is Executive Chairman of Middlefield. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the firm’s business operations, including the development and structuring of its investment funds. He works closely with the President and Chief Executive Officer to define the firm’s vision and strategic direction and provides leadership to the Executive Committee in guiding the overall management of the business. He played a key role in diversifying Middlefield’s investment platform, expanding its offerings to include a broad range of global equity and fixed-income mandates.

Jeremy continues the legacy of Middlefield’s founding partner, his father, the late Murray J. Brasseur. From an early age, he was immersed in the firm’s entrepreneurial culture, gaining firsthand exposure to the investment business through client engagement initiatives. He obtained his real estate license at age twenty, becoming one of the youngest licensed agents in Canada, and went on to build his career across multiple divisions at Middlefield in both Canada and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on the firm’s funds business.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Jeremy is actively involved in philanthropic initiatives through the Middlefield Charitable Foundation, continuing his family’s longstanding commitment to giving back. The Foundation supports a range of important causes, including leading healthcare institutions such as Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital.
