TORONTO, June 1, 2026 – Middlefield is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Ko as investment strategist, effective June 1, 2026. In this role, Ms. Ko will work closely with Middlefield’s equity, fixed income and sales and distribution teams to support the development and communication of the firm’s investment views and portfolio positioning to advisors and investors.

Ms. Ko joins Middlefield from TD Asset Management, where she served as a subject matter expert on several major equity and fixed income mandates. Prior to that, she worked at Westwood International and OMERS as an equity research analyst. She is a CFA Charterholder and has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
The addition of a dedicated investment strategist reflects Middlefield’s commitment to provide timely and thoughtful research-driven insights to help advisors better navigate increasingly dynamic market conditions. In her role, Ms. Ko will contribute to thought leadership, advisor communications, and broader strategic initiatives across the firm’s investment products. Ms. Ko will also be working with Middlefield’s portfolio management team on select fund mandates.
